The Literacy Ladder

Our history
The Literacy Ladder was founded in March of 2023 as an international effort to promote literacy throughout the world - particularly in areas where literacy rates are low among all people.

We recognize that fixing generational problems is a difficult task - but we also recognize that for the world to be a better place, global literacy is one of the most important goals humanity should be working towards.

We started as just a supplies drive, set up in Raleigh, North Carolina. Soon though, our scope expanded to not only materials donations but also working with local NGOs to begin getting adults and professionals involved. We found that many people were already passionate about teaching children literacy - we just had to give the initial push.

Now, The Literacy Ladder has grown to a size we didn't think was possible - and we are overjoyed that we are able to make such a large impact in this world!

Who We Are.
About Our Volunteers.
The Literacy Ladder has many volunteers, in both the United States and India, who we are extremely grateful for. We hope that more can join our cause, and promote global literacy.
